The Beyoncé Beverage

Beyoncé Knowles -- the Goddess of Pop -- popularized the concoction called CayennePepperWaterLemonMapleSyrup, which was known primarily as a liver cleanse. Beyoncé drank it exclusively for two weeks and lost 20 pounds in preparation for her role in the movie "Dreamgirls."

Other celebs picked up on it, and it became a fad way to lose weight.

Bad use for a Great Drink!

 

The fact is, CayennePepperWaterLemonMapleSyrup (Beyoncé's Beverage, the Nectar of the Goddess) isn't a "diet" at all unless you want to temporarily shed some pounds for a movie role, or a weekend at the beach.

Beyoncé says she put the weight right back on, that it's an unhealthy diet.

She's right!

While Beyoncé's Beverage does have health benefits, it no way provides the array of nutrients we find in a balanced meal. No, weight loss comes with exercise and proper diet, but BB should be considered as a part of a proper diet.

CayennePepperWaterLemonMapleSyrup for weight loss -- bad.

CayennePepperWaterLemonMapleSyrup for liver flush -- good.
